Denver Broncos Season is over.

After coming off a nice win with Jay Cutler at the helm, we ultimately came up short of the playoffs due to a lack luster performance by our defense. It just looks as though we gave up after time ticked down in the second quarter. All is good though. What I saw from our new QB is definitely a great thing. Guys, 2007 is going to be a good year for the Broncos. Our defense will be in line this fall and our receiving core is tight. Our TE is probably going to be one of the elite in the league and our quarterback IS one of the best and will probably soon be THE best quarterback in the league after a couple seasons get under his belt. Am I sad to see our season go? Yes. However, if we made it to the playoffs it would be naive to think our rookie QB would have been able to win a Super Bowl after just a couple starts in the NFL. Not to say he wouldn't have, but it was pretty doubtful...but the experience he gained in the final games of the season is really something to hang your hat on. Look for big numbers this next fall! Enjoy the New Year's gift KC.

2006 Denver Broncos: See ya next fall big guys!

And one final "GO BRONCOS!" for the year. (mile high salute)

NEW ADDITION TO MY XBOX 360 COMMUNITY!!!???

I think that brother CJ and brother EJ have now officially become members of my XBOX 360 community. I hear EJ bought his last night and CJ tried but was denied due to the blizzard in Colorado preventing trucks with new shipments from being able to get through. First game on the list to buy? 07 Tiger Woods golf. After that? Probably a poker game. Looks like it will be a fun gaming year for me! YAY!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night...

I would like to wish each and every person who comes to this web blog a Merry Christmas. I know it is hard to keep up with all that goes on during the holidays but it important that each and every one of you remember the true reason and meaning of Christmas. It is easy to push aside the real meaning of Christmas with all the present searching, party planning and family gatherings. We all need to pause each day but at least this day to remember and give thanks...truly give thanks for what we have and how much we need to lift our hearts and our eyes to the real reason we are so blessed each day of the year.

Merry Christmas to everyone. God bless you all.

Lord, please bless each and every one of us this holiday season. May all of our loved ones reach their destinations safely and may each and every one find the true meaning of Christmas warm their hearts this holiday season and every day thereafter. May all of those who can't be with the ones they love this holiday find peace and safety wherever they have to be. Amen.

Go Broncos.

Broncos Playoff Chances stay ALIVE!!!

With a win in Mile High this wonderful Christmas Eve, the Broncos have taken control of their playoff chances. If they win next week, they are in!

He always asks: "How do you stop the self proclaimed Ocho Cinco?" The answer is pretty simple:

"Dos Cuatros".

Javon goes high to give us some Christmas Eve love!

Celebration ensues after a botched field goal attempt hands us the win 24-23! BOOYA BABY! THAT is Mile High Magic!

Broncos break losing streak and get back on track!!!

Jay Cutler and the Broncos ripped through the Cardinals in their own stadium. Cutler finished the day 21-of-31 for 261 yards, two touchdowns and only one interception. Not bad for a rookie eh?
Fellow rookie Mike Bell also had an awesome outing, rushing for 61 yards and punching in two touchdowns. Can you believe that the Bronx only punted once in the game and got only one penalty and both the punt and the penalty came with less than 1 minute on the clock! Talk about impressive!

Once again Champ Bailey strikes fear in the QB as he snatched 2 thrown passes out of the air with ease. He really is that good folks.

Welp, I'm happy and now I can have a good week! With one more win the Broncos will secure a playoff birth. Good experience for the rookies on our team. Here are some photos of the game:

Countdown to Christmas!

Are you all ready for the year to end already?? Boy I am. One more year to go and we are going to be turning a page in our little book that has taken about 8 years to turn. Next month is a HUGE month for us. We will finally have some money at the end of each month. That has not happened since we started our lives together. With cars, babies, houses, XBOX 36o's, its just been an uphill climb to reach the top. As of February 1st of next year, we jump on a sled and start heading down the mountain. Deidra is done with school until January and then she starts her final semester! WOO HOO! Well, the Broncos play today. They have to win or its over. The good news is that Jay is getting some good practice for next year.
GO BRONCOS!

You suck! But I love you.

My best friend in the whole world and his better half and little girl all went to what I am guessing was the single greatest Christmas party of their lives at Mile High Stadium last week. Here are some of the pictures taken at that party. From what I hear, they had poker tables set up! Lucky! Like I said...you suck! But I love you.

Time to dance!!!! Cuz It's Finally...Friday!

Yay!..Friday is here at last. Well almost. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. My Grandma is down and we are having my parents and Grandma over for some roast, a fire in the fireplace and our yearly Griswold's Xmas Vacation. It's been a long week but now I finally get a rest. Deidra has to work on Saturday, but this is the last day for a while that she works on the weekend. The tile man called today....he is finishing the job on Saturday morning, so all things are working out fine. By this time Saturday night my tile work will be done! WOO HOO! I will post the final pics when it is complete. It looks so nice. I took some Old English wood polish stuff and made my kitchen look new. Welp...time for bed. I'm pooped.

Come on Friday!

I am so drained this week. With all the tile work and working the CDL site (testing 18 wheelers), and digging the car out of the driveway which Deidra finished today! YAY! I have just got no more energy in me. Poor Deidra is zonked as well. Mom called today and let me know that Grandma is here so I will go to see her tomorrow or Saturday. Maybe we can all watch Grizwolds Christmas Vacation. Taylor had his Christmas song service. He did so good. Im proud of him. Well on to bed. Tomorrow I work in JC so the day will be long and more draining. Oh well...come on Friday!

Broncos lose a heartbreaker.

Broncos fell to the seahawks last night 23 - 20 on a field goal in the final minutes of the game. The good news is that Al Wilson is ok. Neck MRI negatory. As for C. Sapp...out for season with broken leg. Well, we had to get J. Cutlers first game under his belt so he can feel the true NFL speed. I think he will lead the team to the playoffs this year after he works the rookie kinks out. On to next week and a hard game against San Diego. We can gain a spot if we win next week. I believe we can.

As for my kitchen it is finite! The hall has all the tile down and is waiting for the grout to be put in. The guy doing the job has done a great job and I can't wait for it to be finished. Due to the inclement weather, he had to postpone the grouting for Thursday but that will be the final details. It looks great. After I do the dishes I will take a picture and post it below:

Kitchen Tile down...Grout to go!

Today was pretty hectic to say the least. While Deidra was at work I dug out the car and tried to move it a bit so that tomorrow it will be in the sun all day. Then the tile guys showed up ... late due to the snow they had to go through. They came from Boonville and Owensville which is a haul for them so making it here at all today is great. So as you can see, the tile in the kitchen is down and all that is left to do in there is the grout work which will be done tomorrow. We can't step foot in there until Monday night. As for the hallway:

The carpet was cut away and the tack strips pulled up. Tomorrow we finish the hall and then the first real job in our house will be complete. Trouble is, we wont be able to go down the hall (bedrooms, bathrooms) until early Monday morning, so it looks like a camp out in the living room with all the kitchen stuff in there also! Then it is on to new carpet in the living room and to finish the basement. After that...Deidra will have finished college and after some new dabs of paint and new carpet in the kids rooms, we will be ready to sell the house.

The 84 Bronco held up!

Well after I dug "The Beast" out, I shocked and awed the entire neighborhood as I dropped it in 4 low and drove through a 4 ft. snow bank to make my way onto the snow route from my road. You see, the road adjacent to mine is part of the "important" roads to plow I guess, so they just push all that snow creating a 4 ft. wall of snow, blocking our way until a plow gets time to get to ours..."The Beast" and I weren't having that! We put the hammer down and "PFFFT!" dukes of hazard style through the whole damn thing! I felt so ... so .... "Tankish". When I got home from work, I came in and changed into some snow clothes and we all headed out to the yard with sled in hand and went down our driveway. Do you think I got on a sled though? YOU KNOW IT....Straight belly style, hands out, humming Darth Vaders theme song loudly while plowing down the driveway! Here are some of the pics of the kids during our fun:

Winter Wonderland!

Well it happened! For the first time in almost a decade it happened! I have not seen this type of snow in Jeff City since I was living with my mom and dad. I miss this. This is real snow! Ok..so you see how I am snowed in as is all of my neighbors. Both of my neighbors have 4 wheel drives and newer vehicles, but they don't want to risk it. Our street as you can see has not even been touched by a snow pusher. I can understand due to all the work they are trying to do on the important streets in town: But guess what...I have to get in my 84 Bronco and try to trudge through this in the next hour and a half so I can brave the crazies out on the road at this time to drive across town for a....and are you ready for this....for a conference call to Canada about a computer program we have on our system that needs to be tweaked because it doesn't have all the options we need. Even my Chief says that I should call my sergeant if I feel that I can't make it out but this is the deadline day...we waited till the last second of coarse...and there is one other person going to the meeting and that is a lady from our troop in Columbia. If she can make it from Columbia in this, (most of the highways in mid Missouri are either shut down or crews are trying to get them somewhat drivable for ambulances and cops and such), then I HAVE to be able to do it right? Well, Ill try to dig myself out and make a go of it. Nice huh? I tell ya...Stupid isn't the word, but it is the word I have to use due to the women and children that visit my site.

Jeez....I need to update this blog eh???

Ok, so I keep saying I will update this thing, and I don't.  I HAVE BEEN ONE BUSY SUCKAFOO!  A quick overview: Our tomato plants grew ...
