Taylor hits his first SOLO HOME RUN!!!

That is right folks. Thursday, little T dropped the HR bomb on the other team! He hit it really well right through 1st and second base into the right field and just ran all the way around! He was being motioned to stop by both 1st and 3d base coach but was having none of that...as he rounded each base the other team could not throw the ball fast enough and Taylor high stepped to home! Then with a wink and a thumbs up to dad, walked stone cold faced to the dugout handing out high fives like Halloween candy on the 31st of October! Im proud of the little man!

His stats for the game:

3 for 3
4 RBI's
1 Home Run
1 double
1 single

Taylor's 2nd game

Taylor did great yesterday...he hit several RBI's and came home 3 times! He still forgets that he is a lefty sometimes, so everyone thinks he's a switch hitter...That's ok...Keeps them guessing!

Taylor is a BISON!

Taylor is on his first junior baseball team! The Bison's! He did great his first game. He almost caught a fly ball in deep left center field. The ball was hit over the short stops head, and fell into and out of his glove! He picked it up and threw it surprisingly hard and accurate to 2nd base. His hitting is great too! The way they do it in Junior league is your coach throws overhand for 5 pitches, and if you can't hit it they bring out a tee. That way no one strikes out and everyone hits it. Taylor never needed the tee, and on the first pitch to him he hit it between 1st and 2nd. What I then realized is that he is a lefty! He saw everyone hitting righty, so he thought that was how he was supposed to do it. On his next at bat, I switched him to lefty side...He crushed it over 1st base and it landed fair just by the foul line and rolled into outfield. He got 4 RBI's! He loves to slide even when it is not necessary....So stealing will be something I think he will love later. More to come on Taylor and the Bison's in future posts. His games are every Thursday so I will post then. As for the score of this game...They don't keep score so they say every game is a tie for the kids....Dad kept score...We won by 7...LOL.

Here are some pics of the game:

Above is Taylor before the start of the inning smiling at us and...
Taylor fading back for the near catch!

Here is Taylor as pitcher...Look at the stare down!

Look at the intense gaze into the field. He is ready to bat baby!

Here he is up at bat...I forgot to mention to him that he is a lefty...That would change in the next inning. He hit the first pitch anyway...

Look at his stance on first, ready for the steal! He is on his game.

Here is the pitch!...Smack!.....And he's OFF! Tearing down the field with 80's Vince Coleman speed and precision!

Jeez....I need to update this blog eh???

Ok, so I keep saying I will update this thing, and I don't.  I HAVE BEEN ONE BUSY SUCKAFOO!  A quick overview: Our tomato plants grew ...
