The day after Christmas, at noon in the year 2005 this blog was created. It started out as "Pikes Peak or Bust". We made a goal for a life change. Many people make that a life goal. Not too many of them succeed in reaching it. We did. This is a place where friends and family can come to see whats going on in our little family.

Kitchen Tile down...Grout to go!
Today was pretty hectic to say the least. While Deidra was at work I dug out the car and tried to move it a bit so that tomorrow it will be in the sun all day. Then the tile guys showed up ... late due to the snow they had to go through. They came from Boonville and Owensville which is a haul for them so making it here at all today is great. So as you can see, the tile in the kitchen is down and all that is left to do in there is the grout work which will be done tomorrow. We can't step foot in there until Monday night. As for the hallway:
The carpet was cut away and the tack strips pulled up. Tomorrow we finish the hall and then the first real job in our house will be complete. Trouble is, we wont be able to go down the hall (bedrooms, bathrooms) until early Monday morning, so it looks like a camp out in the living room with all the kitchen stuff in there also! Then it is on to new carpet in the living room and to finish the basement. After that...Deidra will have finished college and after some new dabs of paint and new carpet in the kids rooms, we will be ready to sell the house.
